Reed, Robert, Bob (Poppy), of Hartford Avenue, Riverside, loving father of his children, Keith Reed and his wife, Dawn; daughters, Carolyn Reed Parfitt and her husband, Rich and Rita Reed Lowry and her husband, Rich, left this earth to be with his wife, Janet on Sunday, January 26, 2014. He was fortunate that his children were with him during his final moments and that gave him great peace. In addition to his beloved children he leaves behind his grandchildren, Kevin, Heather, Kyle, Carlin, Steven, Michael, Kristen, David, Corey, Katherine, Matthew, Christina, Anna and seven great-grandchildren.

Bob is survived by sisters, Joan D’Ambra, Janet Gausland, Carole Costello and his brother, Eddy Reed. Bob had numerous friends and acquaintances throughout his life and was frequently spotted at his two favorite hangouts, Dunkin Donuts in both Riverside, RI and Sebastian, FL.

Bob was a lifelong Riverside resident, quahogger/commercial fisherman and owner of Bob Reed’s outboard shop and was loved by his family, friends and customers.

Bob’s passions were his three children who considered him to be one of their best friends. He was also an avid motorcyclist and in his earlier years raced power boats.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday January 31, 2014 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside from 4-6:30 pm. Burial will be private.
