Paccasassi, Robert Carmino, 87, of Barrington, died peacefully on June 21, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Ann (Suriani) Paccasassi.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Giovanni and Santa (Catocchia) Paccasassi, he lived in Barrington for 64 years.

Robert was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and attended Northeastern University.

Mr. Paccasassi was a United States Army Air Corps veteran serving during World War II.

Prior to his retirement, Robert was employed in a number of management positions throughout his 30 year career at Davol Rubber Co.

Robert had a real love of travel (including many trips to Europe), cooking and family. His extraordinary love of life, happy-go-lucky demeanor and unselfish approach to others will be sadly missed but always remembered by his many friends and family.

He is survived by two daughters, Bernice Cole and her husband David of Providence and Sandra Tramontano and her husband Walter of Easton, MA and a son, Robert Paccasassi and his wife Emily of Southampton, NY. He was the beloved ‘Papa’ to six grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew Cole, Carly and Erica Tramontano and James and Alessandra Paccasassi. He was the brother of the late Erminia Mariorenzi, Querino Paccasassi, Argentina Paccasassi, Alfred Paccasassi and Evelyn Macchio.

His funeral will be held on Thursday June 25, 2015 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
