Balasco, Robert, E., 75, of Sowams Road, died on August 31, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth A. (Rawcliffe) Balasco.

A lifelong resident of Barrington, he was the son of the late Guisseppe and Nascenza (Pirolli) Balasco.

Mr. Balasco was a baker for the Vienna Bakery for 50 years. He also was a foreman at Korbs Bakery for 13 years and helped at Balasco Pizza until his retirement. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and was a devoted New York Yankees fan.

Besides his wife of 53 years, he is survived by three sons; Robert E. Balasco and his wife Rita of North Branford, CT, Steven C. Balasco and his wife Michaela of Warren and Richard J. Balasco and his wife Jayne of Warren, a sister; Evelyn Dorsi of Coventry, a brother; David R. Balasco of Barrington, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Elana Moura and Joseph V. Balasco.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday September 3, 2011 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Santa Maria del Campo Cemetery, Upland Way, Barrington.
