Denham, Robert E., JR., 94, of Riverside died peacefully on November 14, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Jeanne ‘Jan’ L. (Paquet) Denham.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Robert E. Denham Sr. and Loreto (Greene) Denham, he lived in Riverside for 72 years.

Bob graduated from LaSalle Academy in 1941 and then worked for the United States Post Office for 27 years before retiring in 1969 as superintendent of the Riverside Post Office.

Bob was a communicant of St. Brendan Church and a member of the Forever Young Club. He was a devoted Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and enjoyed spending time with his family, but mostly the love of his life Jan.

Mr. Denham was a United States Navy War Veteran.

Besides his wife of 69 years, he is survived by his children, Robert E. Denham III, Marcia (Carl) Anderson, Theresa (Ted) Sanford, and JoAnne Denham, all of Riverside, Kathleen Denham of North Attleboro, Mary(Mark) Wilcox of Seekonk, and Gale (Al) Martin of Providence. He also leaves behind 13 ‘favorite’ grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 1 great greatgrandchild.

His funeral will be held on Monday November 21, 2016 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
