Robert F. Wall Jr.

Date of Passing:

September 9, 2023

Wall, Robert F., Jr., 71, formerly of Willett Avenue, Riverside, surrounded by family, ended a long battle with a chronic disease on September 9, 2023, at Orchard View Manor.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Robert F. Wall Sr. and Alma (Lusignan) Wall, he was a lifelong resident of Riverside.

Robert graduated from East Providence High School Class of 1971, where he was a three-time selection to the Rhode Island All-State High School Football Team.

Mr. Wall was a partner for the former National Plating Company in Providence, where he was employed from 1970-2008.

Robert was a devoted New England sports team fan, a love only surpassed by his adopted mixed Chihuahua, Bella. In his earlier days, he enjoyed playing cards, caring for his lawn, riding his motorcycle, camping, and attending family gatherings. If he wasn’t on the field watching his kids play sports, he could be found watching whichever New England sports team or Notre Dame football game was on television.

He is survived by his former wife, Joanne J. Wall; children, Jennifer L. Wall and her spouse Jennifer L. Bacon of Cumberland, Melissa A. Silvia and her husband Joshua of Rumford, Cory R. Wall and his wife Erica of Riverside; six grandchildren; a brother, Michael D. Wall and his wife Donna of Riverside; three sisters, Carol J. (Wall) Vieira and her husband Mark of Riverside, Laurie A. Mann and her husband Timothy of Riverside, Lynne M. Parenteau and her husband Michael of Smithfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Donna M. Wall and William D. Wall.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend Calling Hours in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 2-5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023 in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Robert’s memory made to the RISPCA, 186 Amaral Street, Riverside, RI 02915, are deeply appreciated.
