Truitt, Robert J. “Bobby”, 59, of Kingstown Road, Narragansett, died peacefully on January 16, 2020 at Kent Hospital, Warwick.

Born in Wicomico, Maryland, a son of the late C. Wayne and Gloria A. (Forte) Truitt, he lived in Narragansett for 10 years, previously residing in Naples, FL and Providence.

Mr. Truitt was a dispatcher for the Yellow/Prestige Transportation Company for 15 years. He also worked for the City of Providence Highway Department for 6 years.

Robert was a devoted Boston Red Sox fan.

He is survived by a brother, Michael Truitt of Warwick; two sisters, Denise D’Amore and her husband Tom of Sebastian, FL and Laurie Sprague of Warwick and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Thomas W. Truitt and John R. Truitt.

A Memorial Service will be held at the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside on a date and time to be announced.

  1. My condolences to the Truitt family .I met Robert when he was a very young .His brother Tommy was a dear friend of mine .May he RIP and rejoice in heaven with all his family that passed .

  2. We are so very saddened to hear of Bobby’s passing. Please know the Cervone family is praying for all of you during this very difficult time. He was a wonderful man. He was my bible study friend on the You Version app. We would share our readings often. I know he knew the Lord and is now feasting at the supper table with Our Lord and Savior. God bless.
