Stevenson, Robert, L., ‘Sharkey’, 87, of Burton Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on July 2, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Anna T. (Collins) Stevenson.

Born in Providence, a son of the late James and Flora (Tereault) Stevenson, he lived in Riverside most of his life.

Mr. Stevenson was a tool maker for the former Speidel Co. for over 45 years before retiring in 1993.

Robert enjoyed life to the fullest.

He is survived by three daughters, Roberta L. Boucher and her husband Tom of Riverside, Hilma Kaye and her husband Tim of Corvallis, OR and Kate Thompson and her husband Wes of Hope Valley; two sons, Thomas Larkin and his wife Kyle of Danielson, CT and James Holland and his wife Marie of Bristol; a sister, Jean Stevenson of Hope Valley; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

His funeral service will be private. Contributions in Robert’s memory to Hope Hospice & Palliative Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI, 02904 would be deeply appreciated.
