Burns, Robert P., 88, of Promenade Street, Riverside, died peacefully on December 17, 2019. He was the husband of the late Dolores M. (Jarbeau) Burns.

Born in Providence, a son of the late James and Anna (MacDonald) Burns, he lived in Riverside since 1962.

Mr. Burns was a salesman for the AB Dick Co. for 35 years before retiring in 1989.

Robert was a communicant of St. Luke Church. A sports enthusiast, he was a devoted New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.

Mr. Burns was a United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was on the front line as an operator in communications.

He is survived by a son, Michael R. Burns and his wife Nancy A. Burns of Amston, CT and a brother, Donald Burns and his wife Mary (Daly) Burns of Rumford. He was the brother of the late Ann Reddington, Marie and William Burns.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert and Dolores will be held in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington on Saturday February 22, 2020 at 9 a.m. Burial will be held in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
