Holloway, Ronald J., 86, of Hartford Avenue, Riverside, died unexpectedly on February 11, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (Condon) Holloway.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Irving L. and Evelyn R. (Morgan) Holloway, he lived in Riverside for over 50 years.

Mr. Holloway was a Clerk for Spidel Mfg. for over 30 years.

Ronald enjoyed solving puzzles, painting, coin collecting, watching movies and spending time with his loving family and friends.

Mr. Holloway was a United States Army Veteran.

He is survived by a step-daughter, Robin Kiernan and her husband Charlie of East Providence; a step-son, Richard Johnson and his wife Eileen of Barrington and three step-grandchildren, Jillian Kiernan and her fiancé Tim Matheson of Johnston, Jack Johnson of Weymouth, MA and Carly Johnson of Boston, MA.

A Private Burial will be held in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington.

In Ron’s memory, please give a generous tip to the staff at Riverside Dunkin Donuts. They were very special to him.

  1. To Ron’s family , my wife and I are so sorry to hear about Ron’s passing. He was a great neighbor and friend for over 30 yrs. A very private man, we would be blessed with a few minutes of conversation 6-10 times a year , but many waves in the early morning hours as he started his day with a D n D coffee. If there’s anything we can do to help the family please reach out to us, we will be glad to help you all. Prayers and Condolences to you all.

Last Sunday we loss a deer friend Ron my morning coffee at DD will not be the same with out him Ann and I will miss sharing our dinners with Ron he always had a funny remark if his dinner didn’t have dessert in our house he was called Ronnie Boy Veterans Day he will be missed at our breakfast (free) by me and Ron SeaBee, Ron was a very giving person and friends to many, Ann and I still haven’t got over his loss, will miss u ,our prayers go out to his family, R.I.P. my friend

  3. I was extremely saddened on the passing of Ron I will truly miss our conversations and friendship for over 35 years at Dunkin donuts it will not be the same not seeing him at the 5am crowd rip Ron your friend suzette

  6. Uncle Ron developed & nurtured a community of friends & family. He shared the Holloway boys’ dry & stealthy sense of humor, kept in touch with distant relatives through calls, holiday cards, generous gifts & the occasional teasing. I recall him talking about his babysitting responsibilities & trying not to sound too proud of his cherished role.
    He was well loved.
    Our hearts are with you.

  7. With great sadness we send our condolences to the family of Ron.
    He was a good friend an we enjoyed our Dunkin Donut chats along with other friends.
    We also went out to eat with Albert B.each veterans day an also went out to eat other times. He will be missed greatly
