Reposa, Ronald J., “Ron”, 82, of Benedict Street, Riverside, died unexpectedly at home on November 3, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Sheila A. (Gaynor) Reposa.

Born in Providence, a son of the late Jose and Rose (Fontes) Reposa, he lived in Riverside 60 years.

Mr. Reposa was a Supervisor for the City of East Providence in the Water Department before retiring in 1990.

Ron was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, Swansea, MA, the East Providence Senior Center and the Riverside American Legion Post #10. He enjoyed restoring cars, collecting baseball cards, stamps and coins.

Mr. Reposa was a Rhode Island Army National Guard Veteran for 23 years.

Besides his wife of 58 years, he is survived by his children, Sherri-Lynn Reposa-Mesh of Oak Grove, MO and Ronald J. Reposa Jr. of Riverside; three grandchildren, Michael, Jaclyn and Dominick and two great grandchildren, Victor and Michael Jr. He was the brother of the late Carolyn Arlan.

His funeral will be held on Saturday November 11, 2023 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8 a.m. with a funeral service in the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church, 135 New Meadow Road, Swansea, MA at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Calling hours are Friday 5-8 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Ronald’s memory to the Abundant Life Assembly of God, 135 New Meadow Road, Swansea, MA would be deeply appreciated.

I’m so grateful to have known him and to say he is a child of God..   15. We were friends since Grammer School Ron. Worked together, retired together, and had many good times along the way. Where did the time go. We will miss you partner. Rest in Peace.
