MARSHALL, RONALD, “RONN,” 90, of Riverside, passed away at Rhode Island Hospital on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. He was husband of Marion (Giles) Marshall, his wife of 56 years. Born in Central Falls, RI, he was the son of the late Napoleon A. and Dorothy (Bailey) Marshall.

He is survived by his daughters, Tracey A. Marshall (husband Darryl T. Rathbun) and Stephanie A. (Marshall) Hazard (husband Robert L. Hazard). He was the brother of the late Robert P. Marshall, and the late Dorothy (Marshall) Puleo.

Ronn was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. An award winning actor/director, he performed in many community players groups in Rhode Island and New England. He was a resident cast member for several years in The Warwick Musical Theatre and the Orleans Arena Theatre on Cape Cod. He acted and directed productions in Pawtucket Community Players, The Barker Playhouse, Barrington Players, Warren Players, and many other groups. His love for his family was second to none, as was his love of “B” westerns starring Roy Rogers, Buck Jones, etc.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday September 6, 2017 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Funeral Service in the Swan Point Cemetery Chapel, Blackstone Blvd., Providence at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Swan Point Cemetery.

  1. So sorry to learn of Ronn’s passing. He directed me in a couple of plays many years ago at Pawtucket Community Players. I still fondly remember his gentle good humor and patient guidance.
