Ronda Renee Melino
Date of Passing:
Ronda Renee Melino, 54, of Benedict Street, Riverside, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, at the Hope Health Hospice & Palliative Care Center in Providence, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Ronald S. Ostrowski, with whom she shared 16 cherished years of marriage.
Born in Providence, Ronda was the devoted daughter of Joseph Caraman of South Carolina and Linda Pelletier of West Warwick. She had made her home in Riverside for the past two years, after spending eight years living in Georgia.
A dedicated professional, Ronda worked as an accountant for 30 years before retiring in 2020 due to illness. Her strong work ethic and commitment left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike.
Ronda found great joy in life’s simple pleasures—crafting, music, ceramics, traveling, bike riding, and visiting the casino. But nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her beloved grandchildren and the loyal companionship of her dogs.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children: a daughter, Jessica L. Melino and her husband Shane of Cumberland, RI, and a son, Giovanni A. Melino and his wife Alison of Greenville, RI. She was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren Sophia Spaddy, Layla, Brayden, Skylah and Adalyn McKee. Ronda also leaves behind her dear sister, Danielle Lawson and her husband Ty of Pawtucket, RI, and her niece Chanel.
Ronda will be remembered for her warmth, resilience, and the deep love she had for her family.
Calling Hours will be held in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside, on Saturday October 18, 2025 from 3 p.m.-5 p.m.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Luke Church, Washington Road, Barrington, on Monday October 20, 2025 at 9 a.m.
Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Ronda’s memory to Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, 11A Blackstone Valley Pl, Lincoln, RI 02865 or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be deeply appreciated.
Into the arms of Jesus where God will wipe every tear from our eyes. May God give the peace that transcends all understanding to her family and friends during this time. ❤️
