Rosemarie A. (Lacroix) McKenna, 89, formerly of Holland Avenue in Riverside, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, at Crestwood Nursing Home, surrounded by the love and presence of her devoted family. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis G. McKenna, with whom she shared many cherished years of marriage and family life.

Born in Providence, Rosemarie was the daughter of the late Godfrey and Roberta (Bain) Lacroix. She spent most of her life in East Providence, where she built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the enduring strength of love and faith.

Rosemarie’s greatest joy in life was her family. Her gentle spirit, unwavering support, and kind heart left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

She is survived by her three loving children: Kathleen Cullen and her husband Bernie of Seekonk, MA; Stephanie Jennings and her husband Michael of Punta Gorda, FL; and Stephen McKenna and his wife Kerri of Swansea, MA. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of six grandchildren: Jeffrey, Brendan, Kaelen, Noah, Cameron, and Hannah, each of whom brought great pride and joy into her life.

Rosemarie was predeceased by her siblings Peter Lacroix, Elaine Burgess, and Marjorie Whitaker, with whom she shared a close and loving bond throughout her life.

The McKenna family extends their heartfelt thanks to the exceptional staff at Crestwood Nursing Home for the compassionate care and kindness they showed Rosemarie.

A private funeral service will be held, with burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rosemarie’s name to Continuum Care of Rhode Island, 1350 Division Road, Suite 205, West Warwick, RI 02893.
