Hart, Rosemary, L., 89, formerly of Lakeside Street, Riverside, died peacefully on April 12, 2010 at Orchard View Manor surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William F. Hart.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Edward T. and Mary I (Colton) Coleman, she lived in Riverside for 55 years.

Mrs. Hart was a clerk for the former First National Stores for 20 years before retiring in 1982.

Rosemary was a communicant of St. Brendan Church, where she was a former member of the Parish Council, Forever Young Club and Bowling League. She was a past president of the St. Brendan Rosary & Altar Society, Daughter’s of Isabella and the East Providence Knights of Columbus Council #1528 Women’s Auxiliary. She was also a former Brownie leader at the Riverside Girl Scout House, a member of the Try-Harder Bowling League, Warren and the Hit or Miss Golf League at Middlebrook Country Club.

Mrs. Hart was formerly active in the Rhode Island Democratic Party where she was a volunteer for Senator Claiborne Pell’s re-election committees.

She was a graduate of Hope High School Class of 1937.

She is survived by three daughters; Anne M. Courtois and her husband Roland of Attleboro, MA, Patricia E. Robinson of Riverside and Mary L. Carignan of South Windsor, CT, seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Edward T. Coleman Jr.

Her funeral will be held on Friday April 16, 2010 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.

Calling hours are Thursday 4-8 pm. Flowers are respectfully omitted.
