Fontes, Ruth, A., (Paquet), 86, of Third Street, died peacefully on July 28, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Roy Fontes.

Born in Burlington, VT, a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Harriett (Prindle) Paquet, she lived in Barrington for the past 5 years.

Mrs. Fontes enjoyed painting, cooking, volunteering and assisting people.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Cunha of Weare, NH and Judith A. Cavaco of Barrington; two sisters, Jeanne Denham of Riverside and Marjorie Hathaway of CA; a brother, Joseph L. Paquet Jr. of North Kingstown; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was the sister of the late Meryl Durante, Marceline, Frank and David Paquet.

Her funeral will be held on Friday August 1, 2014 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
