DeBonis, Sandra C., 61, of “Rumford Towers,” Newman Avenue, Rumford, died peacefully on March 7, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Frank L. and Nancy (Padula) DeBonis, she lived in Rumford for the past year previously residing in Pawtucket.

Sandra was a truck driver for many years before retiring in 2023 due to illness.

A Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast, she also enjoyed bowling and miniature golf. She was a devoted New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox fan.

She is survived by two brothers, David J. DeBonis of Rehoboth, MA and Frank R. DeBonis of Fort Myers, FL; four nieces, Alexandra DeBonis of Rehoboth, MA, Emilee DeBonis of Pawtucket, Kayla Mosher of Providence and Sandi Campos of Seekonk, MA and her long life partner, Nance Hopkins of Rumford.

Her funeral service will be held on Thursday March 14, 2024 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Calling hours are Wednesday 4-7 p.m. Flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Sandra’s memory to the RI SPCA, 155 Plan Way, Warwick RI, 02886 would be deeply appreciated.

  1. I used to see sandy whenshe delivered milk for garlick farms at bjs in Dedham Ma. Just heard today from Rick that sandy passed away i am truly so sad to hear this news ,Sandy was a character in her own ways and her wit and charm were always amazing. Heaven earned an angel. I am sorry that i was not able to pay my respects. But she will always be in my memories. God Bless you Sandy.

  4. Sandy was my neighbor and a huge inspiration to me throughout all the years I knew her. She always complimented me and steered me in the right direction in her own way. When she moved out, there was a void in the complex that I still miss to this day. Rest in peace Sandy, I’m glad I got to know you.
