Lindell, Shirley W., 83, of Lauriston Street, died peacefully on January 5, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late George J. Lindell Sr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Michael E. and Maryann (Guevermont) Ward, she was a lifelong resident of Providence.

Mrs. Lindell was a Medical Secretary for 20 years before retiring in 1997. She was a communicant of Holy Name Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Kimberly E. Picozzi of Richmond; a son, George J. Lindell Jr. of Cranston; six grandchildren, Shane C. Lindell and his wife Jennifer, Shawn M. Lindell, Cody J. Lindell, Andrew M. Picozzi, Amanda A. Picozzi and Alexander M. Picozzi; a great granddaughter, Aubrey E. Lindell; a brother, Robert Ward of Orlando, FL and a sister, Ruth Bloch of Southboro, MA.
She was the sister of the late Francis Ward, Michael E. Ward Jr., Lorraine Ouimette and Dorothy Boardman.

Her funeral will be held on Monday January 14, 2019 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:30 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick at 11 a.m.

Calling hours are Sunday 4-8 p.m. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
