Stephen P. Lofgren

Lofgren, Stephen P., 69, formerly of Riverside and of Cambria Court, Pawtucket for the past 30 years, died peacefully on January 30, 2023 at the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Attleboro, MA, a son of the late Bernard A. and Barbara L. (Burns) Lofgren, he lived in Pawtucket for 30 years previously residing in Riverside. .

Mr. Lofgren was a Clerk for the Ernest & Young Accounting Firm for 30 years before retiring in 2018.

Stephen was a graduate of East Providence High School Class of 1971. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Pawtucket. He enjoyed cooking, gardening and playing card games with his family. He was humorous, kind and generous person.

He is survived by eight brothers and sisters, Linda F. Knight of Huntington Beach, CA, Peter E. Lofgren of Norton, MA, Timothy J. Lofgren of Riverside, Joseph D. Lofgren of Barrington, Christopher T. Lofgren of Riverside, John J. Lofgren of Westminster, CA, Teresa M. Shorts of Riverside and Jo-Anne M. Moyher of Port St. Lucy, FL; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Marianne Simoes.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday morning February 11, 2023 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside from 8 a.m.- 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

    My sympathy goes out to his family. I am sure you and everyone who knew him will know losing him is a big loss. He was one of the great ones. I can just imagine he and Marianne back together in heaven. Oh dear.
