Stephen R. Bonniol, age 69, of Riverside, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 9, 2025. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Louis and Emily (Burr) Bonniol and brother to two sisters.
Stephen worked in the printing and marketing department at Amica for 25 years before retiring and pursuing his true passion, becoming a full time author.
Stephen enjoyed nature, science fiction, music, collecting fossils & rocks, and the wonder of the galaxy.
He is survived by three daughters, Kaitlin Bonniol and her husband Brian Wright of Bristol, Chelsea Tyszkowski and her husband Mark of Johnston and Gabrielle Bonniol of Tucson, AZ; three grandchildren, Skyler Bonniol, Brooklyn-Rain Wright and Kenna Tyszkowski as well as his former wife, Andrea Bonniol of Warren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2025 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside, at 12 noon. Calling Hours are 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

I knew Steve first as my first manager at Amica. I liked him right off the bat. He was down to earth, funny and a genuine person. I encouraged his writing because I thought he had genuine talent. I’m so glad he got the chance to pursue that interest. He greatly loved his children and grandchildren whom I’m glad got to know him. I will miss him. He was a great person and friend. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
