Susan C. Carlson, 55, of Maple Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully at home on June 12, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved fiancé of Frank L. Cabral of Bristol.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Carol K. (Viall) Carlson, she lived in Riverside for 42 years previously residing in Barrington for 13 years.

Ms. Carlson was a graduate of St. Mary’s Bay View Academy Class of 1982.

Susan worked in the food service industry for many years and took her love for gardening and turned it into a profession. She enjoyed gardening, horses, antiques, her pets, traveling to Martha’s Vineyard and spending time with her loving family.

Susan is survived by a daughter, Melissa Lynne Iovino of Riverside and her fiance Thomas Cardente; two brothers, Kenneth S. Carlson and his wife Andrea Vastis of Seekonk, MA and their daughters and William J. Carlson and his partner Steven LeBlanc and their daughters of Riverside. She was the mother of the late Terrance M. Iovino.

A private graveside burial will be held in Forest Chapel Cemetery, Nayatt Road, Barrington. Calling hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Contributions in Susan’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline PL, Brookline, MA 02445 would be deeply appreciated.
