Gontarek, Thomas, A., Jr., 50, of Muriel Street, Riverside, died unexpectedly on June 24, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Sharon A. (Crowley) Gontarek.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Thomas A. and Josephine (Berkauzer) Gontarek, both of Little Compton.

Mr. Gontarek was the owner and operator of TAG Chauffeur Service of Riverside for the past five years. He previously worked in the Public Safety Dept. at Roger Williams University, Bristol for 25 years.

Thomas was member of the East Bay Chamber of Commerce. He was a former Bristol Boy Scout Leader and Bristol Little League coach. He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Beside his wife of 29 years, he is survived by a son; Justin T. Gontarek of Warwick and his fianc Kristyn Benedetti, a daughter; Ashley M. Gontarek of Riverside and her companion Carlos D. Medeiros, a brother; Kevin Gontarek and his wife Susan of Nebraska, a uncle; Joseph Berkauzer of Holland, PA, nine nieces and nephews and brother-in-laws; Dan Crowley and his wife Janice of North Kingstown, John Crowley of Stamford, CT and Michael Crowley of Bristol.

His funeral will be held on Friday July 1, 2011 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 am. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday 4-8 pm.
