Acciardo, Thomas P., 98, of Whipple Avenue, Barrington, died peacefully on September 19, 2023 at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Conway.

Born in Barrington, a son of the late Angelo and Angelina (Picozzi) Acciardo, he was a lifelong resident of Barrington.

Mr. Acciardo was a carpenter in the construction industry for many years.

Thomas enjoyed spending time with his loving family and sitting and dining in his backyard. A sports enthusiast, he was a devoted baseball fan. He was a hard worker and had a good sense of humor.

Mr. Acciardo was a United States Army Veteran serving during WWII.

He is survived by his loving family and friends. He was the brother of the late Rosann Fonseca, Elsie Rodrigues, Louise DeLuca, Philomena Pannone, Daniel, Anthony and Vincent Acciardo.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday September 26, 2023 in the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Calling Hours are Tuesday morning 9-10 a.m.

Burial with Military Honors will follow in Santa Maria del Campo, Upland Way, Barrington.

  1. It was my honor to help care for Mr. Acciardo at the Rhode Island Veterans Home. He was a good-hearted man who was quick to share a smile, make you laugh, and say a kind word. He will be greatly missed by both staff and residents alike. May he rest in peace.

  4. My prayers and condolences to the whole family. He was a wonderful man .Made a lot of laughs with his humor at the Veterans Home.   5. Tom will be missed by many. He was a great friend who was well liked in the neighborhood. Living on Whipple Avenue it was a special place surrounded by musicians of all kind Tom playing piano along with his brothers and sisters , he loved the listen to Roy Carnavale and myself on the guitars 🎸 at te Democratic Club . As a young boy along with other kids use to sit up in the Maple tree that was across the street from his house and listen almost every night to the music. You will be missed by all RIP TOM
