Bridges, Velma, (Kysel), 97, of Brookdale Manor, Wampanoag Trail, Riverside, died peacefully on August 7, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Bridges.

Born in Johnstown, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Scauz) Kysel, she lived in Riverside since 1971.

Mrs. Bridges was a salesperson for the former Sullivan Real Estate Co. for many years.

Velma was a communicant of St. Brendan Church and a former member of the RI Board of Realtors. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing with her late husband.

She is survived by three daughters, Anita Bridges of Henderson, NV, Deborah Clark of Hobe Sound, FL and Bonnie Bourgeois of Lakeland, FL; a sister, Evelyn Kysel of Henderson, NV; two granddaughters, Amy Bourgeois and Vanessa Bridges and her husband Darren Geary and a great grandson, Kieran Geary. She was the mother of the late James F. Bridges and sister of the late Vivian Capitan.

Her burial will be held in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, PA.
