Howard, Virginia, E., (King), of Maude Street, Providence died peacefully on April 25, 2014. She was the wife of the late Richard C. Howard Sr.

Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Joseph and Jenny (Silva) King, she lived in Providence for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah A. Aguire; three sons, Richard C. Howard Jr., Kenneth J. Howard and Gary S. Howard Sr.; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great granddaughters.

Her funeral will be held on Monday April 28, 2014 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 9:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 12 Spruce Street, Providence at 11 am. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours are Sunday 3-6 pm.
