Myers, William, E., Jr., ‘Boots’, 88, of Libby Lane, died peacefully on May 4, 2014.
A lifelong resident of Warren, he was the son of the late William E. Myers Sr. and Marguerite (Boeniger) Myers.
Mr. Myers was a machinist for many years.
William was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II. He was proudly awarded the World War II Victory Medal, the American Area Ribbon, six stars in the European African mid-east area and the Asiatic Pacific Area Ribbon. He was a volunteer at the Providence VA Hospital for many years.
He is survived by a son, William E. Myers and his wife Susan; two sisters, Marguerite Swiszcz and Marie Mussi; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was the father of the late Joseph Myers and brother of the late Viola Kaplonski and Raymond Myers.
His funeral will be held on Thursday May 8, 2014 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Jean Baptiste Church, 328 Main Street, Warren at 10 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence Calling hours are Wednesday 5-8 pm.
