William F. Nolan

Nolan, William, F., 91, of Holland Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on October 20, 2015. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth B. (Sellew) Nolan.

Born in New Bedford, MA, a son of the late James and Louise (Quirk) Nolan, he lived in Riverside 63 years. William graduated from Boston College Class of 1948 where he received a Bachelor’s Degree.

Mr. Nolan was a salesman for the Crown Tank Works for 35 years before retiring in 1990.

William was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. He was a member of the Riverside Bishop Hickey Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed golfing, reading, caring for his yard and spending time with his loving family.

Mr. Nolan was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II.

He is survived by two daughters, Lisa A. Nolan-Schy and her husband Abe of Myrtle Beach, SC and Kathleen M. Nolan of Riverside; a son, Mark F. Nolan and his wife Maureen of East Providence and two grandchildren, Shawn and Laura. He was the brother of the late Kathleen Smith.

His funeral will be held on Friday October 23, 2015 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
