Franklin, William, R., 83, of Pawtucket Avenue, Riverside, died peacefully on October 4, 2015 with his loving wife by his side. He was the beloved husband of Theresa (Thivierge) Franklin for 38 years.

Born in Warren, a son of the late Luther H. Franklin and Viola (Shakeshaft) McGee, he lived in Riverside for 38 years.

Mr. Franklin was a Principle Engineering Aid for the Rhode Island Department of Transportation for many years before retiring in 1987.

William was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a lover of pets and animals.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, David P. Franklin and his wife Ann and Peter A. Franklin and his wife Cheryl and four grandchildren, Hilary Franklin Affron and her husband Joshua, Matthew, Robert and Sophia Franklin.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside on Monday October 12 at 10 a.m.
