William R. Maillette

Maillette, William, R., 87, of Fenner Avenue, Riverside, died on January 25, 2010. He was the husband of the late Anna (Correira) Maillette.
Born in East Providence, a son of the late Joseph and Nora (Curran) Maillette, he lived in Riverside for 58 years. Mr. Maillette worked for the United States Post Office for 31 years before retiring in 1977. He was a United States Army Veteran serving during World War II. William was a communicant of St. Brendan Church.
He is survived by two grandsons; Jeffrey M. Conklin of Middletown, CT and Bryan A. Conklin of Randolph, MA, four great grandchildren; Ryan, Mia, Kathryn and Calogero Conklin and two sisters; Rachel Maillette of Idaho and Virginia Silva of RI. He was the father of the late Jo-Anne Conklin and the brother of the late Gene Govey.
His funeral will be held on Saturday January 30, 2010 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 7:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 9 am. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday 6-8 pm.
