William T. Whalen

Whalen, William, T., 78, formerly of Riverside, died unexpectedly on June 28, 2015.

A lifelong resident of Riverside, he was the son of the late William J. and Cecelia M. (Clare) Whalen.

Mr. Whalen was a truck driver for R.J. Rotondo Co. of Rehoboth, MA for 25 years.

William was a communicant of St. Brendan Church. He was member of the Riverside Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed boating.

Mr. Whalen was a United States Navy Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by two brothers, Garrett G. Whalen of Warren and James J. Whalen of Riverside; two sisters, Katherine A. Rapoza of Warwick and Helen Marshall of Riverside; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. He was the brother of the late Joseph Whalen.

His funeral will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2015 from the W. RAYMOND WATSON FUNERAL HOME, 350 Willett Avenue, Riverside at 8:45 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Brendan Church, Turner Avenue, Riverside at 10 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
